Meet the team
Alex Drummond B.Sc(Hons) MCSP, GSR, ACPSM
As a Physiotherapist and Sports Rehabilitation Specialist, Alex is the clinical lead. Over his 15 year career, Alex has worked with elite and professional athletes from the world of rugby league, football and tennis and has conducted consultation work for a number of individual elite level athletes from a wide range of sports including athletics, swimming, triathlon, cycling, running and orienteering.
In addition to his clinical role, he lectures domestically and internationally in the field of Clinical Exercise Rehabilitation, and regularly contributes to several leading health and fitness websites and publications.
When not working you will find him training hard – whether it be triathlon, running, road and mountain biking, skiing (cross country, downhill, telemark) and even kitesurfing!
Arran Nicholson B.Sc(Hons) GSR, BASRaT
Arran is our clinical exercise rehabilitation specialist and trained at St Mary’s University. He brings experience in sport and exercise rehabilitation and exercise performance following periods at Aldershot FC, Harlequins RFC and Ealing RFC.
Arran’s keen interest in sport has seen him previously train as a district level swimmer with Leatherhead Swimming Club, qualify as a PADI Open Water Scuba Diver and gain a 2nd Dan black belt in Ju-jitsu. He continues to be actively involved in football, playing in central midfield.
Like all of our therapist team, Arran works with a diverse range of patients, from those struggling to remain active right through to elite athletes, and all levels of active people in between.
Arran’s specialties in the clinic include the clinical rehabilitation of patients, biomechanical gait assessments and sports and health testing (VO2Max, lactate and Resting Metabolic tests).
Andrea Ross B.sc (Hons) MCSP MSc
Having worked at a clinic in Oxford since 2013 Musculoskeletal and Biomechanics specialist, Andrea has joined the Drummond Team!
Clinically, Andrea is passionate about anything and everything but has a particular interest in running and running injuries being a runner herself. Andrea also brings with her the Run 3D Gait analysis and biomechanics service which you’ll see on our website!
Andrea was a lightweight rower for 7 years but now spends most of her free time running, swimming, cycling and doing yoga. The rest of her time is spent baking… so we’re hoping for some home made delights … sugar free of course!
Daniel Morris PgCert, B.Sc(Hons) GSR, BASRaT
Daniel is a Graduate Sport Rehabilitator who specialises in musculoskeletal conditions. He graduated from the University of Salford with a first class honours in 2014 and is also currently working towards a masters in Sport Injury Rehabilitation. Daniel’s previous experiences range from working in a full time roll within professional football at Fleetwood Town football club (no Jamie Vardy wasn’t still there!) and also working in private sport injury clinics.
Daniel is currently a very recreational runner and gym goer aiming to maintain fitness around work. Daniel has played football to county level and was once voted the best player in his age group for his district league. Daniel also enjoys playing badminton, squash and occasionally snooker (if that is a sport).
Daniel has worked with a wide scope of patients from his professional football days, amateur to elite runners and just your general population. He enjoys listening to a person’s opinion on their current state, how they currently move and how everything interlinks.
Faye Knight is a highly specialised children’s physiotherapist with over 15 year’s experience across many hospital and community settings, most latterly as a senior physiotherapist at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital in London.
Based at the Drummond Clinic, Faye set up her practice in 2014 following some time at home to look after her two young children. The practice provides high quality assessment, advice and rehabilitation. Faye is passionate about working with children; the benefits of her speciality is an in-depth knowledge and understanding of child development and the diseases, conditions and injuries specific to childhood.
Gill Cummings-Bell BA (Hons) MSc PGCE MBA
Gill Cummings-Bell is an exercise and nutrition scientist who specialises in sports nutrition management for training, performance, recovery and body weight management. Gill is Fitness Professionals Education Consultant and the Director of Drummond Education leading the field of research in sports and weight management nutrition and exercise.
Freddie Drummond BA (Hons)
Having spent time away from the clinic working in the city, Freddie has returned to manage the clinic’s operations and marketing as well as our resident yoga instructor!
Outside of work Freddie has always had a keen interest in dancing having competed with her university dance squad in classical and hip hop. She also has a passion for skiing in which she holds a level two BASI qualification in Ski Instructing. Freddie continues to take an interest in fitness at home with her fondness for yoga, swimming and more recently cycling.
Tammie is our part time receptionist who does her role as well as looking after her two children.
To relax and stay sane Tammie is a fun runner who has progressed from half marathons to her first full marathon (a very hilly Bristol to Bath) last year where was very excited to hit her target of under 4 hours!
